I would like to add a new rule to the #rules channel, Zingy's suggestion was accepted but I don't think removing the advertisement is enough, I think a rule should be made plus it's super far back in #bot-commands (https://discordapp.com/channels/635225534699143189/661042907725430804/686221585077633073) so we should make it a rule so people know and we can warn people for it.
Rule: Don't put messages in your advertisements that throws shade at other businesses/don't be toxic.
+1 as it can trigger hostility and an argument which can be frustrating for other members of the server.
I've seen that in another server and it isn't pretty. +1
@Precise What's your opinion on this?
It's just a joke, in the future this will probably become a thing but I don't see a use for it right now.
This would fall under the "use correct channels" rule, wouldn't it?
Demeng How does that apply to using the correct channel? You can still throw shade while using the advertisements channel for its intended purpose, e.g. "Use my service instead of <whoever>'s, they're absolute human garbage."
Although, I could see it having the opposite effect - providing feedback and comments on other companies and their services can be quite handy. Say you have 2 web hosts - one could comment and say that it offers x features and speed compared to the other one.
Miles That's not throwing shade. That's simply comparing. This is more referring to "above is trash" type things, etc.
